Established in 1986 by Andrzej & Janina Podolski, Janina's Jewellers is a family-owned independent jewellery and watch retailer based in Grande Prairie, Alberta. With hands-on knowledge and expertise in goldsmithing, expanding into jewellery pieces and watches, Janina's sales associates offer an exquisite collection of carefully selected jewellery and timepieces to suit any taste and occasion.
Andrzej and Janina immigrated from Poland to Canada, knowing Canada as a country of opportunity and care for their citizens. Arriving in one of the coldest winter nights in 1982, Andrzej and Janina were both determined to make a home in Grande Prairie for themselves. After years of incredible hard work, they strived for more and began to explore opportunities in which they could grow a business on their own.
With exceptional service and excellent goldsmithing, Janina's Jewellers opened in October of 1986, attracting loyal clients back through the door again and again. In 1995, Andrzej and Janina expanded into a second location welcoming more clients and further growing their business. By 2006, they consolidated their stores, doubling their selection and bringing in exclusive collections. Adding more exquisite brands to its collections, Janina's has continued to create long-lasting relationships with jewellers and offering more brands in-store.
In November 2015, Janina's Jewellers moved into the new Westgate location in Grande Prairie. New space brought new brands and collections, with Janina's Jewellers becoming an Official Rolex Retailer. The space includes a comfortable Rolex showroom with associates receiving continuous training to bring the best knowledge of the Rolex collection to Janina's loyal customer base.
